Schedule for Catholic Schools Week 2018
The school will be open Monday through Friday for tours from 9:30 am – 1:30
pm, parents are invited to bring a friend/ family member to come and tour our classrooms. Come and see our school in action.
January 28th - Sunday: Catholic School Week Mass
All students and parents are invited to attend the 10:30 Mass at St. Pius X Church. After Mass there will be an Open House at St. Pius X Regional Academy. Approximately 11:30a.m.
January 29th - Monday: Blanket Service Project
All students will be making blankets for the Ronald McDonald House. Teachers will get a packet of fabric and instructions on how to make the blankets. Please complete this project at your convenience. You have the week to finish the blankets. Also, today starts the Feinstein collection of items for the Deborah K Fallacaro Pregnancy Center of Westerly. We will be collecting items for the rest of January up to the middle of February.
January 30th - Tuesday: Serving our Nation
All students will be bringing in bottled water for the victims of hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. The Salvation Army will be picking up the bottled water at a future date. The collections will be for this day only, but we will accept donations until the end of the week.
January 31st - Wednesday: School Ice Skating Trip
All students from Kindergarten to grade 8 will have 1 ½ hours to skate at the Washington Trust Skate Rink in Westerly. All Students must return their permission slip by January 22nd. A folder with instructions will be in your mailbox. All money is to go in the envelope and turned into the office daily. All payment slips should go with the payment. Please keep track of permission slips for your records.
February 1st - Thursday: Career Day Students will attend a 30-minute presentation from:
Frosty Drew Observatory : 9-10 a.m. (2 - 30 minute)
Save the Bay: 10-11a.m. (2 - 30 minute)
Channel Ten New Anchor: 1-2 p.m. (2 - 30 minute)
A class schedule will follow.
February 2nd Friday: Teacher Appreciation
Parents will provide a potluck lunch for all staff members in the computer lab from 1-2 pm. Students will be broken up into groups, Pre-k-2, 1-4, 5-8. Students will go to various locations to have a school-wide BINGO game. Parents will be chaperoning the bingo game.
February 2nd Aristocats will be performed by students in grades K-5 at 7:00 pm in the church hall.
February 3rd Aristocats will be performed by students in grades K-5 at 2:00 pm in the church hall.
