Pre-Kindergarten Program
St. Pius X School has two Pre-Kindergarten classes: a three year old class and a four year old class. We work on creating a learning environment that engages students daily through active participation in the various learning centers, encouraging each child’s individual strengths, interests, and needs. Our goals are to encourage social/emotional growth, spiritual growth, pre-literacy skills, and math skills.

The Pre-K hours of operation are 9am-2:30pm. Morning and Afternoon Extended Day Program is available.

We offer 4 program options:
1. Full Day Program: 5 days/week, 9:00-2:30
2. Part Time Program: 3 days/week, 9:00-2:30
3. Half Day Program: 5 days/week, 9:00-12:00
4. Half Day Program: 3 days/week, 9:00-12:00

For additional information on the Pre-Kindergarten program, including philosophy and curriculum please see the Parent Handbook. See images from the photo gallery.

Religious Education
Students of all faiths are welcome to St. Pius X School, as long as they follow the requirements and curriculum of our program.

Diocesan policy states that “A student not of the Catholic faith who is enrolled in one for the Catholic Schools of this diocese must follow the school’s religious programs of studies: exceptions to this regulation are not permitted by the local pastor, nor by the principal , or governing board.”

We regard Religion as a major area of study required of all our students, Catholic & non-Catholic. Our instructors have Level I & Level II, and Advanced Religion Certification. Our school celebrates together on Holy Days and at other special times (Thanksgiving Prayer Service, May Crowning). Prayer takes place throughout the school day and begins each class. Grade 2 celebrates First Reconciliation and First Eucharist with the St. Pius Parish CCD students. Our Pastor is a frequent visitor, and hears confessions at least twice a year (Lent & Advent) at the school. Our Catholic identity is an integral part of who we are and we make the exercise of our faith a priority every day. We serve our community through participation in many local programs (food and clothing drives, missions, and outreach to the elderly) in order to live our faith.

Resource Department
The Resource Department at St. Pius X School offers support to all students for remedial and enrichment purposes, as well as organizational skills. This is done through small group/ one-to-one in the Resource room or through in-class mentoring within the classroom. Communication with parents precedes any resource placement.
